Yom HaShoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day — Community Commemoration
Wednesday, April 7, 8:00 – 9:00 PM

Join us on Zoom for a meaningful ceremony commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Day. Our program will include testimony from a survivor, longtime Washington Heights/Inwood resident, Henry Stern; the communal lighting of yahrzeit (memorial) candles at home; and an opportunity for our community to mourn together. This program is proudly brought to you by the Washington Heights and Inwood Jewish community with support from Beth Am, The People’s Temple; Fort Tryon Jewish Center; Hebrew Tabernacle Congregation; Mount Sinai Jewish Center; the Twenty-Something Minyan; and the Y’s Norman E. Alexander Center for Jewish Life.

Community Remembrance Wall
Thursday, April 8, 2:00 – 7:00 PM

Join the larger Washington Heights and Inwood Jewish community in person as we pay tribute to the lives touched by the Shoah, Holocaust. Please stop by the Mount Sinai Jewish Center lawn at 135 Bennett Avenue to leave a thought, prayer, name, or drawing on a communal image board. In order to keep with social distancing, please bring your contribution ready to be hung. Push pins and electronic candles will be available on site.
