Yom HaShoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day — Community Commemoration
Friday May 3, 7:30 PM
Yom HaShoah Ve-Hagevurah (Remembrance Day of the Holocaust and Heroism) is the Jewish memorial day for the Shoah (which is the Hebrew word for “catastrophe,” referring to the Holocaust). Many of our elders and loved ones whose words carried their stories of survival have been lost in recent years, but some are still alive.
This year please join us as our member Denny Kelk’s mother Dr. Relly Chern, a Romanian Jew, will share her story of surviving the Holocaust at our Friday, May 3, Yom HaShoah service, led by Rabbi Paula and Cantor Wolff at 7:30pm. This Service will also be on Zoom.
