At long last, we are ready to start renovating the Social Hall this summer! The vision and priorities were set at a focus group attended by 20 parents in March. Our goal this first year is modest: to repaint the social hall an attractive color and install dimmable ceiling lights and wall sconces by the end of the summer—in time for events and celebrations this fall.
We need to raise up to $70,000 by July 12—in donations and pledges—based on the estimates we have received. The Temple has secured $40,000 in matching funds thanks, in part, to the generosity of our Leadership Circle donors. Right now every dollar raised will be matched 1 for 1. That means your $1,000 contribution is worth $2,000 to the Temple.
As an added bonus, if you (or a family member) contribute or pledge $2,000 or more by June 30, we will waive $500 of the rental fee for any celebration that you choose to hold in the Social Hall until the end of December 2026. Individuals willing and able to donate at the Leadership Circle levels of $5,000 to $10,000 over one to two years will be inscribed on our Leadership Circle plaque and receive our community’s profound appreciation.
Our pocketbook choices are a reflection of our values. When you contribute, you are helping create a more welcoming space for our Jewish community. A place to celebrate and connect with each other.
