Our Kol Nidre Appeal

Shana Tovah! We look forward to seeing you during the High Holidays. Please remember to make a reservation if you are a newcomer, nonmember or a member bringing a guest!

As the new year approaches, we ask that you reflect on our last year together as a community while you consider making a Kol Nidre gift.

We came together in prayer at Services each week, delighted as our children played at Family Dinners and Tot Shabbats, felt freedom at our Passover Seder, and made merry at our Purim Carnival.  We celebrated our B’nei Mitzvah and engaged in spirited learning at Hebrew School.  We, as adults, deepened our knowledge at services, Torah Study and at the Book Club.  We worked to heal our community and our country through deeds of lovingkindness and social justice throughout the year.

If your life has been touched by our synagogue community and our clergy, please express your gratitude with a Kol Nidre pledge.

Your Membership dues are at the core of what sustains us financially.  The rest of our operating budget comes from licensing our space to community organizations, soliciting grants, and fundraising.  But there is still a shortfall each year.  Our annual Kol Nidre Appeal is what makes up the difference, allowing us to continue serving our community in ways large and small.

At this time of Prayer, Penitence and Charity, your Kol Nidre gift from the heart will sustain Hebrew Tabernacle, as it has in the past.

Our goal is 100% participation. Whatever amount you can pledge means you will be blessed among those “who unite to establish synagogues…[and] give funds for heat and light” and who pass Judaism from one generation to the next.  You can simply Zelle your donation to bookkeeper@hebrewtabernacle.org with “Kol Nidre” in the memo or donate through our website if you’d like to donate by credit card or check.

Together, we are building a strong, inclusive, progressive Jewish home in northern Manhattan and we thank you for your presence, your volunteer time and your generous financial gifts.

Modim anachnu lach,
For this, we are grateful,

Mike Klein, Rita Hamburgh, Laurie Slodounik, Desma Holcomb,
