Desma Holcomb is the immediate past President of Hebrew Tabernacle. Over the years, she has helped lead our synagogue into the future as a growing and dynamic spiritual home and center of social action for diverse families and individuals in Northern Manhattan. This Gala marks her 70th birthday and the 40th Anniversary for her and her wife, Miriam Frank, who met in Washington Heights and were married in this temple in 2010.

Julio Batista is the Government Liaison for the Office of Government and Community Affairs at NY Presbyterian. He has been at the center of Hebrew Tabernacle’s support from NY Presbyterian: for our health services to the Northern Manhattan community, to our Gold Wing Art Gallery which showcases uptown artists and with lifesaving supplies which enabled us to open our building safely after COVID.
