Study of the Zohar with Dr. Victor Glass

2016-2017 season: Saturdays following services on Sept, 17, Oct 22, Nov 19, Dec 17, Jan 21, Feb 18, March 18, April 15, May 20

This year, we will be focusing on the Joseph story.  Although it seems as if there isn’t a connection, the first lecture will be on “Why bad things happen to Good People?” I am going to contrast explanations drawn from the Zohar, Buddhism, Epicurianism/Kohelet,  Sayings of the Father, with God’s advice in Deuteronomy. I am also going to mix in a bit of economic theory as well.
